About Handoff

Who publishes Handoff, how the reporting is produced, what we will and will not run, and how to buy advertising.

Handoff reports on autonomous software: the systems that plan, call tools and act without a person in the loop, and the unglamorous work of keeping them running. Four beats: orchestration, evaluation, tooling and cost. Covered for the people who operate this software rather than the people who sell it.

The name is the point. Almost every interesting failure in an agent system happens at a boundary: between a model and a tool, between one step and the next, between the machine and the human who has to take over. That is where we look.

Editorial standards

We publish measurements, not impressions. Every figure we report carries a source, a sample size and a date. Where numbers come from our own instrumentation we say what was logged and how it was attributed; where they are illustrative rather than measured, the table caption says so.

  • No unattributed numbers. If we cannot say where a figure came from, it does not run.
  • Corrections stay visible. Substantive changes are noted with an updated date on the article itself.
  • Vendors do not get review. Companies mentioned in an article do not see it before publication.
  • Sponsored work is labelled. Every commercial placement carries a visible marker at the top of the page, and editorial staff have no role in producing it.
  • No affiliate links. Nothing on this site earns a commission on a click.

Handoff carries display advertising and clearly-labelled sponsored articles. Available inventory: a leaderboard above the fold, an in-feed unit on index pages, and two rail positions per page. Sponsored articles are written to the same structural standard as editorial and are marked as sponsored in the page itself and in the feed.

There is no interstitial advertising, no autoplay media and no tracking wall. Ask for the media kit at hello@readhandoff.com.
